The Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Committee is the primary NATO committee that supports applied collaboration in the field of civil science and innovation. This new organization creates a programme contributing to NATO's mission by bringing science to society through projects carried out within well-established procedures. The organization focuses on security, environmental sustainability, and the priorities of partner countries.

Gebze Technical University aims to build capacity and enhance practical collaboration and dialogue on security-related science, technology, and innovation among NATO countries and partner countries through the call.

In terms of project support, multi-year joint R&D projects are funded, covering expenses for goods and services within the scope of these projects. It is required that the project be jointly presented by an expert from a NATO member country and a NATO partner country.

Partner Countries Eligible for Support from the Science for Peace and Security Programme: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, North Macedonia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan

Mediterranean Dialogue Countries Eligible for Support from the Science for Peace and Security Programme: Algeria, Morocco, Israel, Egypt, Mauritania, Tunisia, Jordan

The SPS supports scientific collaboration through established grant mechanisms for Multi-Year Projects (MYP) and Events. Supported Activities include Advanced Research Workshops (ARW), Advanced Study Institutes (ASI), and Advanced Training Courses (ATC).
